PSA® Vault™ trading FAQ

Can I trade cards that are in the PSA Vault without withdrawing them?

Yes. PSA's Vault-to-Vault transfer moves ownership of a vaulted item to another PSA account without shipping it. See our step-by-step guide.

Does the other collector need a PSA account?

Yes. Per PSA, the recipient needs an active PSA account, and the email and Vault ID you enter must match it. PSA won't create an account for them.

Are Vault-to-Vault transfers reversible?

No. PSA says completed transfers cannot be reversed, so double-check the recipient and the card before you confirm.

How long does a transfer take?

PSA says ownership moves immediately once the sender completes the transfer, and the item shows in the recipient's Collection right away.

Is it secure?

PSA verifies your identity via your registered phone and requires an extra MFA step before a transfer is processed.

Does PSA charge a fee for Vault-to-Vault transfers?

PSA's fees and policies can change, so we don't quote them. Check PSA's Vault page and Vault Terms for current details.

Does PSA handle the other side of my trade?

No. PSA only updates custody records; it isn't a party to your deal. For a trade, each side sends their own transfer.

How do I list a card that is in my PSA Vault?

Use its PSA certification number — it is on the slab label and on the card's page in your PSA Vault. Card Inertia turns it into a “Verify this cert on psacard.com” link so the other collector can check the card and grade before accepting. Offers need cert numbers too.

What is Card Inertia?

Card Inertia is a trade-only meeting place for collectors with PSA-vaulted cards. Members post what they have and what they want, swap card-for-card offers, then complete the trade with PSA Vault-to-Vault transfers. No buying, selling, prices or cash. Card Inertia is not affiliated with PSA.

What do Card Inertia memberships include?

Trading is free: any member can post and make offers on trades under $1,000 of card value per side. Trades of $1,000 and up are for the High Rollers Club ($1,000/yr, application only), which has no cap.

Transfers are performed by you on PSA's platform under PSA's Vault Terms and Vault Transfer Authorization Terms (https://app.collectors.com/vaulttransferauthorizationterms). PSA may hold, decline, or reverse transfers or change fees. Card Inertia is not a party to transfers.
