Trade from the Vault

Your slabs stay safe in the PSA Vault. Agree on a deal, send it Vault-to-Vault, done — no packing, no shipping, no transit risk.

0

Zero per-trade fees

No fee on each trade, ever. Every swap is card for card, and the whole card stays yours to trade.

✓

Graded only, any grade

PSA or BGS, gem mint to well-loved. A gathering place for collectors who still trade the way we did on the playground — with modern trust scores to back it up.

Trade Board BETA

Vaulted cards up for trade. Bid with your own cards — trade-only, no cash. Est. values are member-entered, for trade comparison only.

Est. values are entered by the listing member for trade comparison only — Card Inertia is trade-only, no cash sales. Trade interest = real offer counts.

Trading is free. Join free to post listings and make, counter or accept offers on trades under $1,000 per side. $1,000+ trades are for the High Rollers Club. Log in Join free to trade

Make a trade offer

Offer one or more cards already in your Vault — each needs its PSA cert number so the lister can verify it on PSA before accepting:

Private eligibility check only — never shown. We suggest the PSA Price Estimate in your PSA collection. Free trading: under $1,000 per side; $1,000+ needs High Rollers.

How Card Inertia Works

Trade, not buy. Cards for cards, vault to vault — no buy buttons, no sales. Members may add an optional public Est. value purely to help compare sides of a trade.

1

List a vaulted card

Your card is already in the Vault — nothing ships. Any member (free) lists it by its PSA cert number (on the slab label and your Vault item page) and say what they want back. Every listing gets a Verify this cert on psacard.com link so anyone can check the card and grade.

2

Get offers

Members bid with their own vaulted cards. You see every offer side by side and can counter.

3

Agree

Accept one offer — the rest are declined and the listing shows Trade agreed.

4

Transfer

Each side sends their cards — PSA or BGS slabs — with PSA's official Vault-to-Vault transfer. See the guide.

A free account lets you trade any card under $1,000 per side. $1,000+ trades are for the High Rollers Club.

★ EXAMPLE · MOCK TRADE

Click through a sample trade from listing to Vault-to-Vault transfer. Everything here is an example: fictional member handles, illustrated slabs, and no real offers. Card Inertia never shows prices or values.

⚖ Trade confirmations and completion are solely the responsibility of the trading partners. Card Inertia only connects members; it does not verify, guarantee, hold or complete trades.

Example only: member handles are fictional. All cards are illustrated mockups with placeholder "Cert #EXAMPLE" labels — never real cert numbers. Not affiliated with PSA, Panini or Topps.

Trusted TradersTrust levels, badges and the one-strike rule

Trusted Traders

Know who you're trading with before a card moves. Every member carries a Trusted Trader score on their profile, listings and offers — built only from completed trades, never from card values.

Trusted

3+ completed trades

Account 30+ days old, email verified, and both sides confirmed every Vault-to-Vault transfer.

Elite

15+ completed trades

Account 180+ days old with authenticator-app 2FA on. Required 2FA for all High Rollers.

One strike

You're out.

One confirmed failed trade — never sending your card, or sending the wrong one — and the account is permanently banned, its listings pulled and its email blocked from coming back.

  1. Agree — each card is listed by its PSA cert number with a “Verify this cert on psacard.com” link.
  2. Transfer — the member with the lower trust score starts their Vault-to-Vault transfer first; the other then has 48 hours. Equal scores: both send within the same 48 hours. Everything wraps up within 7 days.
  3. Confirm — each marks “I sent” and “I received”. Done = +1 completed trade.
  4. Report — if it fails, report it. A human admin reviews both sides before any ban, so revenge reports don't stick.

Transfers are performed by you on PSA's platform under PSA's Vault Terms and Vault Transfer Authorization Terms (https://app.collectors.com/vaulttransferauthorizationterms). PSA may hold, decline, or reverse transfers or change fees. Card Inertia is not a party to transfers.

🆕 New-trader limits: until you complete 3 trades you can have 1 open trade at a time, up to $250 of estimated card value per side (your own estimate for tier fit — never shown publicly). After that, your normal tier applies: free trading under $1,000 per side, High Rollers $1,000+ with no cap.

⚖ Trade confirmations and completion are solely the responsibility of the trading partners. Trust scores are a guide, not a guarantee. Card Inertia / Jacobson Collectibles LLC is not a party to any trade and never holds cards or funds. Card Inertia only connects members; it does not verify, guarantee, hold or complete trades.

Vault-to-Vault guideHow PSA transfers complete a trade

How Vault-to-Vault trading works

PSA's Vault-to-Vault transfer moves ownership of a vaulted card between two PSA accounts — the card never leaves the Vault. Here is a trade, start to finish, based on PSA's current help pages.

⚖ Trade confirmations and completion are solely the responsibility of the trading partners. Card Inertia only connects members; it does not verify, guarantee, insure, hold or complete trades, and is not liable for disputes, losses, or failed or fraudulent transfers. Verify certs and confirm every transfer on PSA yourself.
  1. Find a partner here. List your vaulted cards on the Trade Board or bid on someone else's. Both of you need an active PSA account — PSA won't create one for the recipient.
  2. Agree on the trade — in writing. Accept an offer on the board, then confirm exact cards (year, set, player, grade) and cert numbers in your message thread. Exchange the email address and Vault ID tied to each PSA account.
  3. Verify the certs. Look up every cert number on PSA Cert Verification and make sure it matches the card described.
  4. Each side initiates a transfer. Log in to PSA on the web → Collection → select the vaulted item(s) → Item Actions → Transfer. Enter the other trader's email and Vault ID (both must match an active PSA account), verify via your registered phone and the multi-factor step, agree to the Vault Terms of Service and Vault Transfer Authorization terms, and click Transfer Items.
  5. Accept. PSA says ownership moves immediately and the recipient gets an email; PSA's transfer terms note the recipient may need to follow PSA's instructions, which can include signing in and accepting the terms.
  6. Confirm. Each of you checks that the cards now appear in your own PSA Collection, then mark the trade done in your thread.

⚠ Know before you transfer

  • Irreversible — PSA says completed transfers cannot be reversed by PSA.
  • Timing: PSA says ownership transfers immediately once the sender completes the process.
  • Fees: PSA's transfer help pages we cite don't list a transfer fee; check your PSA account before you send.
  • PSA is not a party to your trade and doesn't verify that it's fair — and neither is Card Inertia.

🛡 Trade safety

  • Verify every cert number on PSA's cert lookup yourself.
  • New partner? Trade in pieces, or let the side with the established reputation send the higher-value card first — never on trust alone.
  • Use only PSA's official Vault-to-Vault transfer — for PSA and BGS slabs alike (the PSA Vault holds both). Never pay anyone off-platform, and never accept cash or "gift" payments — this is trade-only.
  • Watch for screenshots of fake vault pages. Only trust what you see in your own logged-in PSA Collection.
  • Keep a written agreement in your messages: exact cards, certs, who sends first, and by when.
